2008 / 2009 season.



As the reserve team embarks on their new season, manager Matt Zadel and Coach Andy Horn on his return back to the club, have wasted no time bringing in new players to the squad. They currently have a healthy squad of 22 players and have signed Matt Twomey, Stuart Hanney from Plymouth, who both played Peninsula League football last season with Buckfastleigh Rangers. This was also strengthened with the return of Luke Horrell and also James Horn, Matt White and Steve Jenkin also from Rangers. With Nova FC disbanding this year, close friendships with players saw Dan Wojak, James Horrocks, Damian Bailey and Steve Drake join the club for the 1st time, all adding value to some quality players within the team in Matt Thompson, Matt Garnett, Chris Williams, Iain Grant, Luke Chittenden, Andy Hawkins, Russ Williams and Dave Jolly who will see himself as the father figure of the very young squad. When the football season finally kicks in, that will also see the return of Phil and Martin Moir to the set up, Matt Zadel will also be looking to sign Richie Baker and Justin Lashley back to the club if all goes well.
